Use your web stats to improve your website
How are the links, or the main menu on your front page, organized? Are they just in the order they came in out of the box?
Your website host should provide you with detailed statistics showing you what pages on your website are the most-visited. The four or five most popular pages on your site should be on your main menu, or at least first on your list of navigation links.
Don't be afraid to change these as your statistics change, especially if you're leaving the structure of your menu and site the way it is. Putting the links people want to click on most where they'll see them the quickest isn't change for the sake of change, and it's not confusing repeat visitors -- in fact, it's the opposite. It's simple customer service.
